John Deacon

For over 40 years until he retired at the end of 2018, John served as a trusted advisor to condominium corporations, delivering practical solutions to help clients obtain legal compliance. His expertise focused on corporate governance, telecommunications, property management/administration, and shared facilities dispute resolution. He also participated in consultations with the Ontario Government to ensure that the regulatory regime would allow condominium corporations to operate in a fair and efficient manner.

John also served as a certified arbitrator and mediator and acted as arbitrator or mediator in a number of disputes among condominium corporations, and between condominium corporations and owners.

John is now an avid Muskoka cottager and enjoys golfing and international travelling. While in the city, John and his wife can often be found at the Four Seasons Center for the Arts on opera nights.
